Artist Michelle Lamb
Narrative is important to my work and what I use to engage the viewer. I strategically arrange and highly manipulate found objects, allowing a specifically determined amount of original patina, shape, texture or inherent iconography to provide the "plot" for my story. The objects themselves are the "characters"  that usually have their own history before I alter or deconstruct them. Making 'trash into treasure' is a kind of alchemy more noble than the ethical necessity of recycling. Being multi-disciplinary, I consider myself  a maxed-media artist, recognizing that diversity freshens creativity,  demands exploration, and fuels the fire  for  learning and reinvention.
